Truck Full Of Axe Body Spray Explodes
At 3:39am, the Bell County Sheriff’s Department got a call about an incident on a local highway. A semi was driving through Texas on Interstate 35 when it caught fire, but it was what the 18-wheeler was carrying that made it so dangerous. The blaze spread through the truck, igniting a bunch of cans of Axe body spray. Thankfully, no one was injured in the explosion, but it was quite the scene.
After the cans blew up, there was debris spread all over the road, which was shut down for eight hours until that afternoon. The fire raged for hours and crews could only collect so much of the trash before it died down completely. Even then, it still took a while to clean up thousands of destroyed Axe products, known as Lynx in the UK and Ireland.
This took place near Belton, TX, where the truck was traveling north through the middle of the night. It has yet to be revealed exactly what caused the initial fire, but the resulting blaze was reportedly pretty epic. It was basically a pungent fireworks show that could’ve ended up causing a lot more damage.
Spectators came from all around to watch cans of body spray explode from the flames in every direction. The pressurized Axe not only contributed to the severity of the fire, but also the subsequent launching of said Axe across the interstate. And on top of this, the light show had it’s own signature scent.
Many assumed this meant the area smelled like Axe, but somehow, it was worse. There were definitely traces of the spray, but more the odor of smoke and the burnt truck, which was destroyed.
