From the amazing list of villains to the new gameplay mode, Spider-Man’s PS4 game revealed its latest trailer and demo at this years E3 conference. The Electronic Entertainment Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center was blown away by the upcoming release’s newest footage and details. The developers have crafted a game where the super hero’s flexibility and movement can be fully utilized. The gameplay combines one-on-one fighting, thorough acrobatics and, of course, a lot Spider-Man’s classic web slinging. Many have noticed positive similarities between this and Batman’s Arkham Asylum series gameplay, and not just for the functionality, but the story, as well.

They’ve added a bunch of iconic villains for Spidey to take down. The good people at Insomniac and Sony have made it so that the hero has to genuinely struggle to stay ahead of every nemesis the game throws at him. In the trailer, during a prison break from the Raft, an off-shore underwater prison run by the Avengers, Spider-Man has to face off with a lot of his most formidable foes, including the Vulture, Rhino, Electro, and Scorpion. Many fans will recognize the compound as it was seen holding some of their favorite heroes following the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Insomniac released a blog post that said, “Things heat up for Spider-Man, as many of the Super Villains he has put away over his eight years as Spidey have escaped simultaneously. This is a pivotal moment in the game, where the fragile peace in New York City has now been completely shattered.” In the final moment of the trailer another big villain is teased, hinting that whoever it is could be the game’s big bad, but only time will tell.
