Hilarious Movie Mistakes That Nobody Noticed, Except Us

Hollywood has its share of movie magic, but it also has many instances of futility. No matter how big the budget, Hollywood movies can feature mistakes, some much more noticeable than others.

Here are some of the more hilarious movie mistakes we’ve identified.

The Aviator

The Howard Hughes movie was critically-acclaimed, but there was one error. In one scene, Leo DiCaprio buys chocolate chip cookies. The problem? It took place in 1928 and chocolate chip cookies weren’t invented until the 1930’s. Yep, it’s true. Those delicious treats are less than a century old.

Mr. DiCaprio is back again, this time for the famous Titanic. In the movie, his character tells Rose that he and his father used to go ice-fishing on Lake Wissota. Unfortunately, the time tables don’t add up. Lake Wissota was formed by a dam in 1917, which would’ve been 5 years after the sinking of the Titanic (1912).

Yes, Scottish people wear kilts. The issue is WHEN they wore them. Kilts weren’t worn until the 16th century, but Braveheart takes place in the 13th century. Oops, sorry Mel.
