DJ Gets Fired For Reminding Fans That Aroldis Chapman Assaulted His Girlfriend

Recent |

The Chicago Cubs fired their DJ after he played the song "Smack my B---- Up" following Aroldis Chapman's exit from Sunday's game against the Cardinals. It was a reference to Champman's alleged assault of his girlfriend in 2015 where he fired multiple gunshots into his garage.

The team released the following statement: "We have terminated our relationship with the employee responsible for making the selection and will be implementing stronger controls to review and approve music before public broadcast during our games."
