Some say baseball is boring. While watching the sport on television can be a bit tedious for fair-weather fans, there’s nothing like going to a game in person. Eager MLB lovers look forward to rooting for their favorite team while enjoying beer, hotdogs, and peanuts. And the most seasoned in attendance will often come armed with their own glove to hopefully catch a foul ball that they can take home as a souvenir.

This type of preparation and excitement are pretty standard for stadium regulars, but what happened this week at San Diego’s Petco Park is far from normal in the best way possible. During the game between the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta’s Ender Inciarte was at the plate in the top of the fifth inning. Sure enough, one of the pitches resulted in a foul ball that flew high in the air and ended up in the stands behind him.

There have been incidents of brave fans, without gloves, catching foul balls with their bare hands, but Gabby DiMarco might be the first to catch one with a beer. She said of the epic moment, "It bounced from behind me, I wasn't trying to catch it at all, and it landed in my cup.” The camera zoomed in right as she stood up triumphantly to reveal the ball floating in her almost-full plastic cup. As the crowd cheered, there was only one thing left to do: chug. Check out the amazing footage below...
